Where Do We Go From Here – Poem By Solomon Temitope

In the middle of nowhere
Where else do we trace our steps –
Our fear has refused cheer
With legs finding home elsewhere than the feet of chairs.
Where else do we go from here!

But let it be told –
Let the young and old listen;
No matter the consequences, In this our fold,
No one will be sold!

We refuse to sign indemnity
Against injustice and impunity
That has befallen the Nigerian personality –
We’ve sworn to uphold integrity
Throughout the nitty-gritty of unending chaoses
Harboured in this society called ours.

Where else do we go from here
