Sequence Of Events For League Of Wordsmiths 2018.

November 30:

10-man Shortlist from each category would be released. These are the going to be the actual contestants in the league.

November 30 – December 8

• Poetry Category
The ten poets shortlisted are to send 10 poems as an attachment to a mail that would be contacted at a latter date. These poems would however be Themed.

The themes would as well be communicated on a latter date. And should you emerge the winner or runners-up of this category, the ten poems submitted are the ones to be published in the anthology.

• Flash Fiction/Short Story Category

The ten writers shortlisted for this category are to send 5 flash fictions/short stories with not more than 250 words, as an attachment to a mail that would be contacted at a latter date. These stories would however be Themed.

The themes would as well be communicated on a latter date. And should you emerge the winner or runners-up of this category, the 5 stories submitted are the ones to be published in the anthology.

December 9 – December 23

This is the main period of the contest.

The league for poetry is divided into 10 rounds, while that of flash fiction/short story is divided into 5 rounds.

Each rounds are themed, and each entries for the round are judged individually and scored. Your score determines your position on the league table.

For this year’s contest, our judges would see to 80% of the final result, while the readers and audience at large would see to 20% of the final result.

The poet/story-writer at the end of the league in each category emerges as the winner.

Let the contest begin! May the best Poet/Story-Writer Win!
